CRA B.C. to offer gas safety training
By Canadian Rental Association
Canadian Rental AssociationOct. 11, 2011 - After a lot of work by Russ Walsh from EZE Rent in Chilliwack, B.C., the Safety Authority of British Columbia has given the CRA B.C local permission to hold a propane and natural gas heater course to train mechanics, staff and owners to be able to certify their own heaters. This means every rental store in B.C that does not have a gas fitter on staff can realize significant cost savings, as they all have to re-certify their heaters every two years.
Some of the manufacturers involved are Frost
Fighter, LB White, Enerco, Heatstar, Patron, MI-T-M, Munters and Sure
Flame.
The course will be held in Abbotsford, B.C., at the Ramada Plaza and
Convention Centre on November 8 and 9. The course will run
from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day. Lunch will be supplied along with snacks and
refreshments at coffee breaks. The cost of the course is only $250 plus
tax per attendee. A block of rooms has been reserved under the Canadian
Rental Association. For anyone who has to fly in, the Ramada is
offering a shuttle service from the Abbotsford Airport. The hotel
number is 1-888-411-1070.
"I hope everyone takes advantage of this course," Jim Clipperton, CRA B.C. president, says.
"It will make all of our lives easier and safer. If there are any
questions please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail me as I personally
want this course to be very successful."
Attendees are encourages to register early as space is
limited.
