RIGID launches professional-grade wet/dry vac line

April 27, 2015 - RIDGID has announced a new line of professional-grade wet/dry vacs built specifically for commercial and industrial users. This line features 12 vacs designed to exceed jobsite and user demands and driven by customer feedback.

RIDGID Professional Line Wet/Dry Vacs are powerful, with motors providing up to 24 per cent more power than the previous top-performing models. From the highly portable 4-gallon vac to the high-capacity16-gallon model with an integrated cart, the entire line is filled with innovative features and unique models such as the Motor-on-Bottom Wet/Dry Vac. As with all RIDGID products, the vacs are backed by the RIDGID Full Lifetime Warranty.

“RIDGID is continually striving to create products, services and solutions that make jobsite tasks easier and more efficient,” said Christopher Burton, RIDGID Global Director, Brand Management. “Wet/dry vacs can be found on almost any job site and our new line of RIDGID Wet/Dry Vacs available to all RIDGID distributors solves the most common complaints about vacs while raising performance to new levels. These customer-centric improvements and new-to-world models reinvent wet/dry vacs as we know them today.”

Along with standard high-performance features such as powerful motors, professional hoses and easy portability, the line features two cutting-edge models: the Motor-on-Bottom (MOB) 1650RV and the Smart Pulse RV3410 with self-cleaning filters.

The MOB, the first-ever vac to have the motor on the bottom, has 24 percent more power than any other RIDGID vac. The additional power adds no extra noise due to the integrated Scroll Noise reduction system and the drum surrounding the motor. The position of the motor creates a stable, low center of gravity so it won’t tip over on the job. A foot-activated power switch allows for quick, hands-free operation and the detachable drum makes it easier than ever to empty debris. A hatch on top of the drum makes it simple to dispose of larger objects. This vac was engineered with the customer in mind.

The self-cleaning Smart Pulse Wet/Dry Vac – ideal for fine dust applications such as drywall or concrete – has two filters and an integrated sensor that continuously monitors suction efficiency. When the sensor detects a pressure difference, the vac automatically begins an alternating, pulsing cycle to push air through the filter, thereby cleaning the filter. This process happens automatically, but only when needed, to provide uninterrupted performance and maximize the unit’s efficiency.

All Professional Line Vacs are equipped with the features that professionals want, such as upgraded, long-life Pro Hoses, Quick Lock fastener-free filters and long power cords.
