Celebrating Rental Awareness Month
April 28, 2014 – Springtime cleanup has begun. After a winter cold that reached record
lows and caused havoc all across Canada, it will take a lot of work for
home and business owners to fix some of the damage caused by Old Man
Winter.

Good thing renting is an
option. In fact, renting is often the most economical and hassle-free
way to access tools, event supplies and heavy equipment. Whether you’re
sanding a deck, cleaning your eaves troughs or organizing a wedding,
renting allows you to use professional quality equipment and party
supplies at a reasonable price.

To highlight the
benefits of renting versus buying, the Canadian Rental Association (CRA)
is celebrating National Rental Awareness Month throughout the month of
May, 2014. The main focal points of this initiative will be focused
around varied branches of renting: construction, parties and weddings,
and lawn and garden care and restoration.

“Renting is smart and
easy and it alleviates the cost of purchasing equipment you may use only
occasionally,” said Nathalie McGregor, Managing Director of the CRA, a
not-for-profit industry trade association devoted to promoting the
success of its members and advancing the growth of the rental industry.
“This is an opportunity for us to recognize the great work of our
members and the services they offer, and to illustrate the benefits of
renting to the general public.”

So, what are those benefits of renting?

  • Easy access to specialty equipment and supplies, without the high cost of purchasing.
  • Acquire equipment or supplies quickly and in ready-to-use condition.
  • Provides access to modern and maintained equipment.
  • Eliminates the need to store large equipment.
  • Worry-free way to accomplish a project or host an event.
  • CRA Members have years of experience and will help you choose the right equipment and teach you how to use it.

As part of National
Rental Awareness Month, the CRA is offering up a series of FREE how-to
video tips on home renovation, spring cleanup, landscaping and more. CRA
members across Canada are hosting open houses and events as part of
National Rental Awareness Month. “The open houses will help educate the
public with tips and tricks from several of the rental industries’
leading experts,” added McGregor.
