March 27, 2012 - The Maritimes’ largest heavy equipment show is back and bigger than ever at the Moncton Coliseum, March 29 to 30. Started in 1986, 14 editions later the Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show has evolved into a popular event for the heavy equipment, road building, forestry and logging sectors.

“The 2012 edition of the AHES is once again a complete wall-to-wall sell
out. Inside space for the large equipment exhibitors is maxed-out with a
growing waiting list every year. We are using every square inch we can
find in all six buildings and could use more. The outside exhibit space is
almost at capacity with only two spots left. Almost as much space being
used there as inside the actual facility and we could not be more
pleased,” says show manager, Mark Cusack.

All the major players in the heavy equipment industry will be at this show, highlighting the latest and most innovative heavy
equipment that will be needed to get mega projects done on time,
and on budget.

It is not just bulldozers and big tractors. This event showcases many
industries, including the forestry and logging sectors which are a huge
part of the economy in Atlantic Canada, so sales of this sort of
equipment are common at this event.

“The beauty of exhibiting in a trade show such as this, is that you get
to see your current customers face to face and also can greet new ones
with a firm hand shake,” says Cusack. “Many sales are made right at the
show or if not a closed deal, exhibitors leave with many solid leads to
follow up on for many months after the event." Cusack adds this is in part due to the high quality exhibitors this show attracts
and the caliber of audience that comes to the show.
