The Canadian Rental Association held its first National Rental Show Jan. 31 through Feb. 2 at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.

The event started with a day of conference sessions. Topics included building an effective staff and cybersecurity. A panel discussion roamed all over the rental industry, including some detailed conversation about how to use a Tent Ox.

Pascal Leclerc of Cisolift got the Award of Excellence for suppliers Blake Menning of All Choice Rentals took home the 2023 Award of Excellence for rental stores Rakesh Singh of Little Electric accepts the Newbie Award for new CRA members Mike Maltby of Ingersoll Rent-All accepts his Award of Distinction for lifetime contribution to the CRA

A reception and awards presentations followed the conference day. CRA CEO Nathalie McGregor and president-elect Brett Armstrong of Double R Rentals handed out the honours. Pascal Leclerc of Cisolift got the Award of Excellence for suppliers (top left); Blake Menning of All Choice won the Award of Excellence for rental stores (top right); Rakesh Singh of Little Electric took home the Newbie Award for new members (lower left); and Mike Maltby of Ingersoll Rent-All was recognized with the Award of Distinction for his contributions to the association.
