RSC appoints Brown to the board

NewsOct. 24, 2011 - RSC Holdings, one of the largest equipment rental providers in North America, has announced that on September 30 John Monsky resigned as a director of RSC Holdings and RSC Equipment Rental. The board also announced that seasoned veteran, David Brown, was been appointed to the company's board of directors effective October 6 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Monsky.
Brown, 63, served most recently as president and CEO of Owens Corning, a global producer of residential and
commercial building materials, glass-fibre reinforcements and engineered
materials for composite systems. Brown retired from Owens Corning in 2007. During his 29
years at Owens Corning, Brown held various senior management
positions, including serving as president of the roofing, asphalt and building materials sales and distribution division and the insulation division.
These experiences led to his promotion to executive vice-president, COO and finally president and CEO of
Owens Corning.

RSC Holdings. "We expect to benefit greatly from his operations, sales
and marketing experience, as well as his perspectives as a former CEO,
all of which make him a very valuable addition to our Board."
Brown currently serves on the Boards of BorgWarner and
Franklin Electric. Previously, he served on the board of Owens
Corning.
