John Hafferty joins BlueLine Rental

Mr. Hafferty joins BlueLine Rental from Pacer International, a publicly traded transportation and global logistics services provider, where he has served as CFO since 2010. Prior to Pacer, he was CFO for the international division of Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, a global freight management company.
 
Mr. Hafferty will report to incoming CEO Phil Hobson, the former RSC senior executive whose appointment BlueLine announced last week.
 
“John is a talented, proven CFO who will bring a lot of experience and valuable perspective to BlueLine Rental at an exciting time in the evolution of the business,” said Mr. Hobson. “Evan Brumm will play a key role in executing the growth strategy of the company and continue to serve as a member of the management team.”
 
BlueLine Rental, previously Volvo Rents, was acquired in January by Platinum Equity. The BlueLine Rental brand identity was launched in February following the transition to new ownership.

Prior to holding CFO positions at Pacer and Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, Mr. Hafferty served as Senior Vice President, corporate strategy and development for Schenker, Americas, a unit of Schenker Logistics, Co., a global transportation and logistics company. He also held various positions at UPS, including Executive Vice President, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Chief Operating Officer of UPS Freight Services, and Chief Financial Officer of UPS International Package Operation. Mr. Hafferty earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting at Kansas State University.
