May 12, 2010 – IRWIN Tools, the maker of MARATHON circular saw blades, has a new line of metal cutting circular saw blades. Many professional contractors need to accurately and safely cut metal building materials, and Irwin now has a blade size and tooth combination for cutting most job site metals.
The IRWIN Metal Cutting Circular Saw blade line has laser cut anti-vibration vents to keep the blade cool for smooth and accurate cuts while the anti-kickback tooth shoulder reduces dust and sparks for safer cuts. The company says its great for cutting steel such as black pipe, angle iron, threaded rod or aluminum, the laser cut blade delivers a stronger tooth bond and greater cutting accuracy. The metal cutting grade carbide teeth can withstand higher impact and reduce the wear for longer blade life. The seven available sizes include 6 ¾” 40T, 7 ¼” 48T, 7 ¼” 68T, 8” 50T, 10” 80T, 12” 60T and 14” 80T.
IRWIN metal cutting circular saw blades are available at industrial supply locations. Depending on the size of the blade, the suggested retail price will vary from $29 to $99.
