November 12, 2018 - The Canadian Rental Association (CRA) - Ontario Division tried something new for their monthly membership meeting in November by hosting a bus trip to Ottawa to watch the Las Vegas Golden Knights take on the Ottawa Senators.

The bus started in Bracebridge and stopped in Cookstown and Toronto to pick up people before heading down the 401 to Ottawa. Kim Rixon of Muskoka Party Rentals lived up to her company name by providing snacks and beverages for the trip. The bus arrived at the hotel around 5:00 so that everyone could check in and drop off their luggage before heading to the arena. Around 55 rental operators, suppliers and guests filled the luxury suite to watch the visitors win 5-3. There was plenty of lively conversation during the game and everyone stayed well past the final whistle to finish off the finger foods and clean up the healthy bar tabs.

The next morning the bus headed back but made five stops along the way to visit rental operations including Ontario Rental and Supply, Robertson Rent-All and two branches of Rental Village in the Ottawa area along with World of Rentals in Kingston. Special thanks to Colin Wilson for providing the pizza at that stop. It was great to see how different companies manage their inventory and stockrooms.

The ride home was quite a bit quieter than the way up we arrived back in Toronto around 5:00.
