CRA Ontario meets at Rentquip Canada

April 16, 2015 - About 45 members of the CRA Ontario chapter were on hand for the last meeting of the season at Rentquip Canada.


In addition to it being a regular meeting, everyone also had the opportunity to help Rentquip celebrate their 40th year serving the industry. The company hosted an open house for their customers in the afternoon on April 15 and were serving burgers and drinks under perfect sunny skies. The company brought in factory reps from Patron, Clark, Electric Eel, Milwaukee and L.B. White to explain the latest on their product offerings.

After the open house, the CRA member’s social hour started followed by a pork and chicken BBQ dinner catered by BBQ Feast Catering.

The meeting continued with elections for board positions with the following being elected:

First vice-president – Paul Van Staveren from Stayner Rental
Second vice-president – Lawrence Gingrich from Broadline Rentals
Secretary – Kim Rixon from Muskoka Party Rentals
Associate director – Gord Ellis of Ellis Management Group

Jim Freeman, from Rentquip Canada, thanked everyone for attending their open house and showing support to their company over the many years that they have been serving the rental industry. Afterward Neil De Jong, the outgoing Ontario treasurer and new member of the national board, presented the five-year CRA strategic plan that the association is working towards. Nathalie McGregor, the managing director for the CRA, then presented the Ontario Regional Award to Colin Wilson of A World of Rentals. After a number of door prizes were awarded the meeting was concluded with a reminder that the next Ontario event will be the annual golf tournament scheduled for Sept. 15 in Guelph, Ont.
