Sunny CRA Ontario golf brings new faces

Sept. 17, 2014 – There were some new and seldom-seen faces at
Springfield Golf and Country Club in Guelph, Ont., on Sept. 16 as the Canadian Rental Association
Ontario held its fall tournament. About 75 golfers enjoyed perfect
sunny weather and a chance to catch up with new friends and old just
minutes from the 401. The day was organized by the CRA Ontario golf
committee of Colin Wilson (World of Rentals), Kim Scott-Rixon (Muskoka
Party Rentals), Diane Gouge (L.M. Temperature Control), Dean Nasato (Wacker Neuson), Monica Dubbin (Vermeer Canada) and Gord Ellis
(HosePower).

The Rentshop putting contest came down to a nailbiting three-way playoff, with Mike Lambert taking the prize.

The scramble-format tournament took golfers through a fairly short track but
with lots of trouble. The registration gift of a sleeve of L.M.
Temperature Control balls came in very handy. Lunch and a sit-down
dinner was also provided, where the day's winners were announced:

• Closest to the Hose – Kim Rixon
• Closest to the Pin – Al Carruthers
• Closest to the Keg – Nathalie McGregor
• Women's Long Drive – Nathalie McGregor
• Men's Long Drive – Jeff Pierce
• Longest Putt Sunk – Tom Bell
