Nov. 19, 2010 – Split-Fire Sales has appointed Con X Equipment as its manufacturer’s sales agent exclusively for Quebec. Con X Equipment will sell Split-Fire’s complete line of hydraulic wood splitters and wood chippers to rental companies in the province based out of its office and warehouse location in St. Laurent.

“Quebec is a very important market for Split-Fire. Many rental houses in the province already have our log splitters and wood chippers,” explains Chris Skalkos, Split-Fire’s marketing director. “We needed a sales representative that understands the unique demands of our equipment rental customers and Con X Equipment already has a long and successful career servicing the Quebec rental industry.”

Tino Russo, president of Con X Equipment says the decision to represent Split-Fire’s product was easy. “Split-Fire log splitters and wood chippers are designed and built to stand up to the demand of the rental industry. This manufacturer is using the ‘rental recipe’ of safety, high production, long-term use, easy maintenance and simple end-user operation. All key factors for rental operators when purchasing equipment,” says Russo.

Pat Romani, sales and customer service specialist for Con X Equipment says Split-Fire machines have already gained a solid reputation among rental operators because of their productivity. “The log splitters split two-ways, on both the out and return stroke, a unique feature and a direct benefit to both rental companies and their customers. There is less wear and tear on the machine so it lasts longer and doesn’t cost a bundle in service or repairs for the rental operator,” says Romani.

Split-Fire has also recently announced that it is replacing the suspension system on all its 4000 series wood chippers with a heavy duty rubber ride suspension system. Starting with shipments to Quebec, all 4013, 4020 and 4024 wood chippers will have the heavier axle, spindles and larger tires rated at 1400 lbs each.
