Finning extends union contract

NewsFeb. 24, 2012 - Finning International has announced its Canadian division, Finning Canada, and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local Lodge 99 representing Finning's hourly employees in Alberta and the Northwest Territories have reached a memorandum of agreement on a one-year extension to the current collective agreement.
The agreement is subject to a ratification vote by the union
membership, which is expected to be concluded within one month. The union executive and bargaining committee are recommending that its
members accept the agreement.
The current collective agreement, governing approximately 1,700
hourly Finning workers in Alberta and the Northwest Territories, is set
to expire on April 30, 2012.
