Doosan Portable Power names new district manager

Nov. 3, 2015 - Doosan Portable Power recently appointed Maurice (M.J.) Hutton to district manager for Western Canada reporting to Trayson Mathias, national sales manager, Canada.


In this position, Hutton will be responsible for supporting business relationships with Doosan Portable Power dealers, national rental accounts and equipment rental stores in the Western Canadian provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, as well as the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Hutton will also be responsible for developing new business relationships focused on diesel alternative options in the Doosan Portable Power product line, which includes natural gas generators, gasoline-powered air compressors and electric air compressors.

Hutton earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Thompson Rivers University and has experience in the equipment industry. Most recently, Hutton worked as a regional sales manager for a U.S. based construction and oilfield equipment manufacturer.

“We are delighted to have M.J. join Doosan Portable Power. His experience and insight in the rental equipment industry will be invaluable in continuing to provide our dealers with the right support. He is a strong addition to the Doosan team,” said Mathias.

Hutton will be based out of Calgary, Alberta.
