Correction: UPS discount not available to Canadian customers

August 17, 2012 – According to Kathy Schwartz, vice-president of
operations for the American Rental Association , information the
association provided early this week is incorrect and the discount on
UPS shipping for ARA members is not available on shipments originating
in Canada. Schwartz says the ARA continues to seek a deal with UPS that
will include Canadian shipments.

Schwartz said in an email, "Unfortunately, I learned yesterday from UPS that I had misinterpreted the scope of their program at this time.  Canadians cannot take advantage of the ARA discount. U.S domestic companies have discounts shipping into Canada and other international countries.  I apologize with much regret that this is the case and I did not understand the scope. We will continue to ask for a program that will work in Canada."
