Ammann introduces support team for Canadian Compaction customers

Alexander Greschner, Director Marketing and Sales, Ammann Machines is proud to announce the appointment of Peter Price as Area Sales Manager, Canada and Heinz Stanisz as Technical Support Representative.

Peter Price is well known in North American construction and roadbuilding sectors through his 30-year career in the compaction industry. His experience in compaction product development, as well as a product manager and sales trainer brings a wealth of knowledge for Canadian customers to match the right Ammann product to their specific job requirements. Peter will provide customers and dealers with a single point-of-contact in Canada dedicated to fielding any factory enquiries regarding compacting applications, equipment sales/service and distribution opportunities.

“I have been bridging customer needs to OEMs overseas for most of my working life, so I look forward to making it easy for Canadians to work with Ammann,” he promises. “I’m accustomed to representing top-of-the-line machines, and I was always impressed by the quality of Ammann equipment in my travels to Europe. Now, in Canada, we’re working to ensure that customer service meets that same high quality standard.”

Heinz Stanisz brings 20 years as a senior Ammann technical specialist to his new role in Canada. Heinz developed a unique insight into Ammann products through his extensive service with the Ammann product development team in Switzerland. In more recent years, he has focused on field support service. Heinz is designated as the Canadian point man for any factory-related customer needs for warranty and technical service. Since arriving in Canada, he has been meeting with dealer technicians as well as operators on customer jobsites across the country. While familiarizing himself with the individual challenges of Canadian working conditions, he has also been able to provide timely advice on maintenance, repair and operating practices that will help to maximize uptime with Ammann machines.

“Our Canadian customers are very happy with the machines,” he reports, “but jobsites are often remote and have to run very hard with a shortened work season. We are focusing on how to be sure the correct tools and parts are used to keep the units going at their very best. Many of the mechanics have been learning by doing. Our more formalized training can help them to learn the most efficient ways to diagnose, troubleshoot and adjust the equipment for their application.”
