June 17, 2011 – The U.S. Construction Industry Crime Prevention Program
(CICP) for the Pacific Northwest is reporting the theft of eight scissor
lifts in Tigard, Ore., that officials from the National Equipment
Register say may already be in the Vancouver area.

Mike Webber of the Tigard Police Department asked CICP to distribute this information. On June 2, the suspects removed a section of fence to gain access to a parking lot where the scissor lifts were stored. They removed eight units similar to those in the photos. Nine of these lifts will fit on a semi truck flat bed trailer. The scissor lifts can be loaded on a semi truck trailer with a forklift, or driven up a loading ramp.
