Perkins Engines announces new appointments

Utley, who has relocated to Peterborough, U.K., to take up her new role, joins Perkins from Caterpillar’s Product Development and Global Technology Division, where she was vice-president and chief technology officer.

Utley earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Bradley University and a MS
in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of
Management. She is the recipient of the Suzanne Jenniches Upward Mobility Award
from the Society of Women Engineers, and an honorary Doctor of Technology degree
from Loughborough University.

Utley was recognised as one of 122 women in the US who have
demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers.
The first Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and
Production) Awards are part of an initiative to promote the role of women in the
manufacturing industry.

Also joining Perkins on February 1, 2013, is Paul Wroblewski who replaces Jim
Berry as general manager for medium engines (three-litre to seven-litre product
lines). Paul joins Perkins from Caterpillar’s Large Power Systems Division, where he
is currently general manager of the Mossville Engine Centre. He will bring his
extensive experience, knowledge of the global engine business
and supply chain to his new role at Perkins, in addition to an acute focus on
the customer.
