July 6, 2017 - With last year’s announcement that Lifting Gear Hire would resume operations in the United Kingdom, LGH has since expanded operations into a brand new territory entirely: Canada.

“The International LGH expansion is part of a larger initiative to move LGH into new territories and to further service our customers overseas,” said President of LGH North America, Tony Fiscelli. “We’re really excited for this expansion and to see what other countries LGH could potentially move into and which other areas we can serve in the future.”

“This expansion marks a very important time period in the LGH story,” Business Sales Manager, Dan Pittman, said. “Moving into new countries marks a new milestone for all of us. Each department within our headquarters in Bridgeview, IL has had to adjust and make the necessary advancements to ensure we operate smoothly in new countries. From logistics in shipping, navigating through customs, employee benefits, the metric system, vendors, invoicing, and a different currency, these have been just a few obstacles we’ve had to overcome. We should all be very proud of the efforts and hard work that have enabled us to take this next step.”

The Canadian Rental Center is located in Oakville, Ontario and will consist of 26,000 square feet, making it an ideal location for housing a multitude of the safety equipment that LGH currently has available for rental.

In addition to Canada’s grand opening, it was recently announced that Lifting Gear Hire has relocated their Minnesota and Philadelphia Rental Centers to accommodate for more equipment and to cut down on costs for the customer and the company.

The Philadelphia Rental Center is still located in Bensalem, PA, but now its down the street from it’s original address. The new location is twice the size of it’s previous one, which’ll make adding new rental items to LGH’s inventory stock easier and allow them to stock a higher quantity of lifting equipment.

The Minnesota Rental Center originally opened on August 2, 2010 and since then, the warehouse has continuously added new equipment to keep up with consumer demands. In order to continue to provide customers with the safest and most up-to-date equipment available, the Rental Center needed to move to a bigger location, as well.

“We’ve simply outgrown our current place,” Chuck Wright, LGH Minnesota Representative, said. “Transportation-wise, our new location is in a much better spot, but more importantly, this move will enable us to house more equipment. It’ll also help us to cut down transfer and freight costs for our customers and to ensure our customers will be around for years to come.”
