News Shows conference mart summit

Organizers of the Canadian Rental Mart have postponed the 2020 event and announced a new date for the live event of Oct. 18 to 20, 2021, at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.

“We were initially hopeful that the pandemic measures would be lifted in time for our fall 2020 date,” said Danielle Labrie, show manager. “But it seems clear that gatherings of that size will not be allowed this fall. Our exhibitors have been notified and many of them are enthusiastic about participating in the 2021 event.”

The Canadian Rental Mart is Canada’s largest trade show for the equipment rental industry, welcoming hundreds of rental stores for equipment displays, training and networking every two years.

Show organizers are planning a series of category-focused online equipment showcases to give OEMs a chance to show off their new items even in this difficult time. The one-day video conferences will feature expert advice on specific equipment types, such as construction heat, lift and access, generators, compaction and more.

“Obviously we are disappointed to not be able to see everyone in person,” Labrie added. “But safety has to be the primary concern. We’ve seen some great success with online events and we’re hopeful we can create an innovative way to keep everyone informed until we can all get back together again.”
