Canadian Rental Mart seminars announced

Nov. 25, 2014 – Canadian Rental Mart organizers have released the free
educational seminar program for the national trade show, taking place
March 18 – 19, 2014. There is one seminar each day at 9:00 a.m. in the
International Plaza Hotel (formerly the DoubleTree) conference rooms
across the street from the Toronto Congress Centre show venue. The 2014
presenters will be Mark Borkowski of Mercantile Mergers and and
Acquisitions and Neil Courneya of Hy-Cor International.

On
Tues., March 18 between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m., Courneya presents "Add
Power to Your Generator Rentals with Temporary Power Distribution
Equipment." This talk offers a detailed look at temporary power
distribution equipment and how to apply it safely and effectively to
your customers' needs.

With an in depth understanding of
wholesale distribution, Courneya has implemented a single source vending
strategy for safety supplies and created and developed in depth
training program for temporary power and lighting equipment. As a Class A
mechanic, he possesses a strong background in technical and service
support. Hy-Cor is a major vendor of safety supplies and temporary power
and lighting equipment to the rental industry across Canada. Courneya
has been in the distribution business supplying products and equipment
to the general construction industry since 1988 and expanded into the
rental market in January 2009 with the opening of Hy-Cor.

Mark Borkowski

On
Wed., March 19, between 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Borkowski presents "Valuing
Your Rental Business in Today's Market." Both sides of an M&A
deal will have different ideas about the worth of a target company. How
can you tell what your company is really worth when talking to
interested buyers and investors? In this talk, the 25-year M&A
veteran will introduce you to the methods and tools professional
investors use when assessing a target company. You'll learn about comparative ratios, price/earnings ratios, enterprise-value-to-sales ratios, replacement costs, discounted cash flows
and more. Borkowski is CEO of Mercantile Mergers & Acquisitions, an
M&A broker that locates the ideal buyer whether they are in Canada,
the U.S. or Europe. He writes the "M&A Matters" column in Canadian Rental Service magazine.

Canadian Rental Mart seminars are free and open to anyone in the rental industry.
