ROM introduces new tracking and asset management device

Kelowna, B.C.-based Rom Communications has unveiled its Alarm-Point Trax, a low-cost, fully self-contained, extra-long battery life cellular GPS tracking and asset management device, ideal for monitoring all types of equipment and machinery.

The AP-Trax offers easy mounting options with no external power or hardwire connections. Advanced vibration/motion sensing technology determines if equipment is running or being moved and incorporates a remote enabled lockdown feature that sets a GEO fence for added security.

AP-Trax is fully configured on-line using an Internet-based control panel, while providing access to mapping, maintenance logs, virtual hour-meter and GPS position.
