Hammond Air Conditioning, best known for its Arctic Wolf line of integrated factory-style AC for heavy equipment, is a long-time supplier of AC repair and replacement parts for all makes and models of mobile AC systems. Hammond’s standing parts inventory is valued at more than $1 million with more than 7,000 different line items in stock, from evaporators and condensers to related clamps, seals and special tools. The inventory is planned to achieve off-the-shelf availability for at least 94 per cent of parts ordered. For other needs, Hammond’s extensive industry connections allow it to track down the required part and get it shipped to the customer quickly.

Rental companies, equipment operators, repair shops and equipment dealers will now have round-the-clock access to Hammond’s complete parts inventory, thanks to the online shopping section of the website recently launched at www.hammondac.com .

The online store offers customers a variety of search methods, so they can choose the simplest way to find the part they need. Website visitors can search for parts according to equipment make, model or part number. Alternatively, visitors can choose the type of part they need, such as a blower or filter, and see a complete listing of items in that category.

With another click, the website will display more detailed information, including shipping weight and pricing. For more than 2,000 line items, a picture of the item is available to help users confirm that the chosen part matches the part they are replacing.

The Hammond online store can also be used to place orders for its complete integrated AC systems. Hammond has developed more than 700 pre-packaged kits tailored for specific makes and models of mobile equipment.

Customers, dealers and all equipment operators are invited to test drive the new online store and create their personal shopping accounts.

Expanding in Canada
Aggreko has added a new location in Fort McMurray, Alta. The 4,200-square-foot facility will provide storage for products, spare parts and supplies, and with three staff based on site, will help provide a quicker, more comprehensive response for local customers.

This is the latest move by Aggreko to expand its operations in Canada. In August 2008, the company acquired Alberta-based rental power specialist Power Plus Rentals and Sales to support the oil and gas industries of Western Canada. In addition, Aggreko is constantly improving its cold weather-dedicated power fleet to improve its reliability and reduce the need for troubleshooting in the extreme environment of the oil sands.

“After eight years serving the oil sands industry, including two years operating in Fort McMurray from our nearby Edmonton service centre, we felt it was time to have a more local presence,” says Dennis Haller, vice-president, Aggreko Canada. “We are thrilled to be able to provide immediate service and quicker emergency response to our customers in the area.”

Aggreko will supply the area with all the company’s major rental product lines, including power generators from 30 kW to 1,500 kW; temperature control units, including chillers, cooling towers, air conditioners and electric heaters; oil-free air compressors; and refinery grade heat exchangers.

The facility will also feature Aggreko Process Services, an experienced process engineering team within Aggreko that helps refining customers improve their processes and operations to enhance bottom-line performance and address environmental concerns. This is unique to the rental industry as it can design and install projects faster than considered possible with traditional capital projects.

Rental program focused on flexibility
New Holland Construction is further expanding its range of customer-focused business solutions with a new Rental Partner Program. The initiative responds to the growing need for flexibility as customers want the reliability and productivity of premium equipment while looking for options other than immediate ownership. The Rental Partner Program allows New Holland Construction’s North American dealerships to expand their co-operation with rental companies of all sizes. Bobcat offers front-auxiliary hydraulics
Bobcat has announced that a front-auxiliary hydraulics option is now available on CT440, CT445 and CT450 compact tractors. This option routes hoses and couplers to the front of the tractor loader to enable the function of hydraulically operated attachments, which are now approved for use on these tractor models, increasing the versatility of the machines.

Additional attachments that do not require front auxiliary hydraulics have also been approved for use on the front loader of the CT440, CT445 and CT450. These are the digger, landplane and pallet fork attachments.

All of the attachments are also approved for use on select Bobcat loaders and Toolcat utility work machines. When the same attachment can be used on multiple machines, it decreases the number of attachments needed for an equipment fleet and increases the versatility of each machine.

An option already available on the front-end loader of Bobcat compact tractors will make it even easier to work with these new attachments. The Bob-Tach quick attachment mounting system saves time when hooking up attachments to the front-end loader. The Bob-Tach system allows operators who need to use multiple front-end attachments to quickly and effortlessly change attachments for maximum productivity.
Attachments that require front auxiliary hydraulics: Model 10 auger, Hydraulic pallet fork, Spreader, Standard-duty snow blades, Tilt-Tach, Utility grapple.
