Peter Sulyma 1927 – 2020

Neil De Jong of ITE Rentals in Hamilton, Ont., confirms that company founder, Peter Sulyma, passed away on April 16 – his birthday. He was 93 years old. Peter is survived by his wife Frances Sulyma, daughters Penny Saville and Kathy De Jong and six grandsons, one granddaughter and five great-grandchildren.

Peter and Frances are the founders of ITE Rentals, an industrial tool rental store. The Sulymas were true pioneers when they started the store in 1967, when “renting tools” was not common.

Peter supported the Canadian Rental Association (Rental Association of Canada in the day) served as Treasurer on the Ontario board. He rarely missed a Ontario meeting.
