July 21, 2017 - The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has elected Philip Kelliher, Vice President Americas & Europe Distribution Services Division of Caterpillar Inc., and David Thorne, Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales & Marketing, Construction & Forestry Division of Deere & Company, to the AEM CE Sector Board to fill unexpired terms.

CRS Contractors Rental Supply has entered into a unit purchase agreement to sell CRS to Sunbelt Rentals, the North American business of Ashtead Group, for $275 million plus a potential earn-out. CRS is Sunbelt’s first acquisition in eastern Canada and will become Sunbelt’s operational platform in Ontario. The proposed transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks after satisfaction of certain regulatory approvals.

July 6, 2017 - The Home Depot has announced a definitive agreement to purchase Compact Power Equipment, Inc., a national provider of equipment rental and maintenance services for $265 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the company's fiscal second quarter.
June 21, 2017 - LOU-TEC Group Inc. has announced the merger of 12 LOU-TEC locations in the Quebec City, Montreal and Gatineau/Ottawa areas.
