Equipment rental sector specifically exempted from Ontario shutdown order

The government of Ontario has released its list of businesses NOT ordered to cease operations under its emergency directive to address the coronavirus pandemic. Equipment rental operations appear on the list:

“Rental and leasing services, including automobile, commercial and light industrial machinery and equipment rental”

Businesses not on the list are ordered to shut down at midnight March 24.

The list does not appear to exempt party and event rental operations.
