ECHO launches new power pruner, curved shaft trimmer

Feb. 12, 2010 – ECHO has announced the launch of two new products, the PPT-280 Power Pruner, and the GT-230 Curved Shaft Trimmer.

Power pruners provide fast, easy and safe pruning solutions for those hard-to-reach applications.  ECHO’s new PPT-280 is no exception and features a 28.1 cc  engine for plenty of cutting power. The heavy duty gearbox features dual-sealed bearings, spiral cut steel gears and a manual grease port for maximum lubrication, durability and performance. An adjustable oiler delivers the right amount of oil every time and the side access chain tensioning provides for easy adjustments to extend bar and chain life. The ergonomic handle has a rubber overmold for added comfort and improved handling. This model extends to 158” from its collapsed length of 113” and offers an optional 5’ extension for added reach.

The new GT-230 Curved Shaft Trimmer features the Power Boost Vortex design with a larger 22.8cc engine, and uses the same engine as the company's SRM-230 straight shaft trimmer.

The new GT-230 comes equipped with several new design features. A commercial duty air filter system helps to ensure this trimmer will have a long, reliable life. The longer 52” shaft length and increased 25 mm arbor shaft ensures this model is not only sturdier, but more comfortable to operate. The right handle grip has changed and is now a more ergonomically, slim design – another comfort added feature and an easy reach on/off switch has now been incorporated into the handle. In addition the specially designed handle grip ensures custom placement options based on the user’s height. It comes equipped with the company's popular 2-line ECHOmatic head, this trimmer offers a lightweight trimmer option with extended reach and a two year commercial warranty.
