
CRA Ontario golf is hot

took to the links at Hawk Ridge Golf Club in Orillia, Ont. for the
Canadian Rental Association Ontario fall golf tournament. Golfers showed
their mettle in record-breaking temperatures approaching 40 C. It was a
sweaty but happy group who gratefully retired to the air-conditioned
comforts of the excellent Hawk Ridge clubhouse for a prime rib buffet,
prizes and updates from the association afterwards.
Sept. 16, 2013 – A good mix of rental operators and industry suppliers
took to the links at Hawk Ridge Golf Club in Orillia, Ont. for the Canadian Rental Association Ontario fall golf tournament. Golfers showed their mettle in record-breaking temperatures approaching 40 C. It was a sweaty but happy group who gratefully retired to the air-conditioned comforts of the excellent Hawk Ridge clubhouse for a prime rib buffet, prizes and updates from the association afterwards.
CRA Ontario president, Dale Brinklow, introduced the board and thanked the many sponsors. Paul Everitt of Rentquip MCed. Every hole on the course was sponsored, as was the putting contest, dinner and several games and contests. Jim Freeman and Everitt accepted a plaque and a gift on behalf of Rentquip recognizing its support of the golf tournament over the years and Freeman and Everitt's key roles in keeping it going. Brinklow estimated Freeman and Everitt had raised over $25,000 for the association through their work on the tournament. Brinklow congratulated James Morden for being elected the national director for Ontario, and Karen Van Stravern for being awarded one of the CRA scholarships.
