July 18, 2018 - Tamarack Industries recently purchased the assets of Thawzall LLC. The Thawzall brand will join the other Tamarack brands including Heat King and Heat Assault.
After several years of input from many in the Canadian rental industry, there is a now new standard which will simplify the installation requirements for operators of portable oil-burning equipment. The standard is now published and provinces will begin the process of adoption, after which enforcement will begin.
Nov. 16, 2017 - Contractors Rental Supply (now owned by Sunbelt) has taken delivery of two Heat King IDF1000 indirect fired heaters at its Brampton, Ont., location. The order represents the first investment in IDF1000 heaters for the Ontario rental chain.

More than ever before, rental companies and their customers are faced with a plethora of choices of construction heater models that offer a varying range of BTU-per-hour output. Luckily, we have some great and well-established made-in-Canada innovative brands.
Sept. 13, 2017 - L. B. White Company, Inc. has announced that the ownership interests of Jeff Diermeier and Rick Diermeier have been acquired by Mason Wells, Inc. of Milwaukee, WI. Kevin Gagermeier continues as an owner of the business and will be replacing Rick Diermeier as President and CEO when he retires in mid-October. Following the transition of duties to Kevin, Rick Diermeier will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company. All other employees will remain with the business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Kevin Gagermeier is and has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2007 and co-owner since 2010.
September 11, 2017 - L.B. White Company has introduced the most portable 750,000 BTU/h heater in its class, the Foreman® 750 indirect fired ductable heater, available in dual fuel (LP/NG) or OIL version.
Construction heat is a great profit driver. Here’s the latest technology from Canada’s top suppliers. 
There are a wide range of natural gas heaters on the market today. They can be open flame, make-up air or indirect-fired units that can range from 100,000 BTUs to 4.5 million BTUs and CFMs are variable depending on the type of unit. 
When building your heat fleet it is a good idea to have a mix of different heater styles to meet any application your customers may encounter. One consideration is whether your heaters use a “make-up” air or a recirculating air supply. There are some significant differences between the two and where each is best used.

This annual award honors the recipient for its positive impact and support of the Wisconsin Economy. The presentation is being made at WMC Foundation’s State of the Business Luncheon today in Madison.
