
Caterpillar announces officer departure

NewsFeb. 26, 2013—Caterpillar has announced that Luis de Leon, vice-president with responsibility for the mining products division, is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. “We wish Luis well in his new endeavors,” said Steve Wunning, Caterpillar group president with responsibility for resource industries. A replacement for de Leon will be named in the near future.

de Leon joined Caterpillar in June 2011 upon completion of Caterpillar’s
acquisition of Bucyrus International, where he was chief operating officer
for four years.
