Features ShowsFeb. 28, 2012 - Participation by exhibitors and attendees for the Canadian Rental Mart has outstripped 2010 levels by a wide margin, forcing show organizers to add capacity to accommodate the overwhelming interest in the 2012 show. The Canadian Rental Mart, Canada's trade show for the rental industry, takes place March 6 and 7 at the Toronto Congress Centre. Exhibitors, attendee registrations, banquet reservations and hotel bookings are all pointing to a record-setting event.
The original allotment of exhibitor booth spaces on the 40,000-square-foot show floor sold out in early January, forcing show management to alter the floor plan to allow for more exhibitor space. That added space swiftly sold out, and the show is now maintaining a waiting list because there is no room left in the hall.
The block of hotel rooms in the DoubleTree Hilton has likewise sold out and a new block added at the Radisson Hotel and Suites next door. Indications are these rooms are going fast and attendees need to act quickly if they want to get one.
Canadian Rental Association president Mike Maltby has announced a record
number of registered attendees for the CRA Ontario's 50th annual
banquet and awards night, taking place March 6 at 6 p.m. in the
International A room of the DoubleTree Hilton hotel. Registrations
closed Feb. 24 with 152 confirmed attendees, more than any previous
banquet. "It is great to see so much excitement for our 50th anniversary
celebration," said Maltby. "This turnout
really speaks to the strength of our association and the great members
we have in Ontario."
"These strong results show the Rental Mart is back on track as a key event for Canadian rental operators," said show manager, Ed Cosman. "If the weather is good, we can expect significant walk-up traffic as well."
