Mar. 9, 2010 – It’s official. The most important rental event of the year – the Canadian Rental Mart – is open for business. Hundreds of rental professionals are expected to attend the trade show taking place at the Toronto Congress Centre over today and tomorrow.

There’s plenty for them to see. As reported in Canadian Rental Service, the show is completely sold out. Literally every booth has been filled by the more than 75 exhibitors at the 2010 Canadian Rental Mart. The exhibitors are certainly ready for the crowds. Reps are available at every booth, and the equipment on display has been polished and shined for maximum appeal. For a complete list of exhibitors, please click here.

The first day of the Canadian Rental Mart started with a fascinating seminar delivered by Suzanne Price of Seneca College. For more on the seminar, please click here.

Seminars continue tomorrow with “Profiting from the Restoration Market”, to be delivered by Mark Wierda of Dri-Eaz. More information on that seminar can be found by clicking here.

Although the show has only been open for a few hours at the time of this writing, deals are already being struck, friendships are being renewed, and rental professionals are receiving the latest information on heavy and light construction equipment and tools. There is also strong representation from the event rental side of the business.

There’s a definite sense of optimism at the 2010 Canadian Rental Mart among both exhibitors and attendees. Hesitant predictions from economists say that Canada has weathered the recession in a relatively strong position, and this has had an effect on the numerous industries the rental business serves.

A number of events are scheduled for this evening, including the Next Gen Reception, and the CRA Gala Banquet.

The 2010 Canadian Rental Mart continues today and tomorrow at the Toronto Congress Centre. Continue to watch this space for more updates on the show and other events.
