Nov. 26, 2009 – Bosch Power Tools & Accessories this week is expanding its family of Full Force Technology-equipped pneumatic fastening tools with the addition of a family of compressors. The lineup includes three hand-carry compressors and two wheelbarrow compressors.

Bosch’s twin-tank hand-carry compressors employ a vertical tank configuration that the company says addresses some of the most common user complaints associated with previous compressor designs. The most notable new feature is Bosch’s EZ Drain system. The vertical tank design allows moisture to collect at the bottom of the tanks and also enabled Bosch’s engineers to design a control panel that gives users unprecedented access to the drain valve. With pressure in the tanks, users can use a single valve to easily drain both tanks as often as needed, which enhances the life of the compressor and increases productivity.

Bosch says that another major benefit of the new design is optimized ergonomics. The vertical tank configuration condenses the center of gravity and improves balance, enabling users to carry the compressors closer to their bodies. Bosch’s design also reduces the footprint of the compressors, enhancing maneuverability and storage capabilities. A sturdy roll cage protects the pump/motor, pressure switch and safety valve from jobsite conditions, improving the durability of these components.

Other key features include a recessed control panel to fully protect the regulator, gauges, couplers and the drain valve, a 4-pole induction motor (2-pole induction motor on the CET4-20 and CET4-20W) to reduce noise and distraction on the jobsite and a contractor grade oil-lubricated pump for long life and reliable service.

Like the hand-carry compressors, Bosch’s new twin-tank wheelbarrow style compressors are designed with user comfort, ease of use and durability in mind. For example, these compressors also employ the EZ Drain system and enable users to drain both tanks using a single ball valve accessible from the control panel.

Another intelligent feature unique to Bosch’s wheelbarrow compressors is the handle design. The handles are specially shaped to give users multiple hand positions when transporting the compressor. When it’s time to load up at the end of the day, the handles double as skids, significantly easing the process of loading the compressors into the back of a truck and minimizing user fatigue.

Users will also appreciate the easy-access angled control panel, and a cold start valve for an easier start in cold weather conditions. A cast iron oil-lubed pump maximizes durability, and Bosch backs it up with a 2-year pump warranty.

Bosch’s complete family of compressors is currently available through authorized Bosch retailers nationwide. To find out more, please visit www.boschtools.com or call 877-BOSCH-99.
