Atlas Copco agrees to acquire NewTech Drilling Products

Oct. 1, 2012 – Sweden’s Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire US-based NewTech
Drilling Products .

The acquisition will add to Atlas Copco’s offerings, specifically in the areas
of mining as well as oil and gas exploration.

Atlas Copco is an industrial tooling and equipment manufacturer. The company
acquired American compressor manufacturer Quincy Compressor in 2010 and SCA
Schucker, the German adhesive equipment manufacturer, in 2011.
