
AEM says leaving NAFTA bad for equipment manufacturers

The most common destination for those pavers, excavators, planters or sprayers are our neighbors in Canada and Mexico. That is exactly why it would be a harmful mistake for our industry if the United States were to exit the North American Free Trade Agreement.
The equipment manufacturing industry supports 1.3 million jobs across the United States, and last year contributed $159 billion to the U.S. economy. Underscoring the importance of cross-border trade, our industry also supported an additional 149,000 jobs in Canada, and contributed $15 billion to the Canadian economy. | READ MORE
