Oct. 31, 2011 - Canadian Rental Association director-at-large James Morden has called on all CRA members to register with the Movember campaign to raise awareness of prostate cancer on behalf of the association. Movember participants grow a moustache or other facial hair throughout the month of November and swap photos online to compete for the best growth at the end of the month.
Morden issued the following challenge to CRA members:
"I invite you to join CRA Members from across Canada this year in raising
money for prostate cancer initiatives. On Movember 1, I ask for the
men of CRA to register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. For the
rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros,
will groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery.
Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise
funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
"So we’re throwing down the gauntlet to Canadian Rental Association
members. Register individually or as a team and compete with other
rental businesses for ultimate bragging rights, plus a mighty trophy.
The challenges are a great way to engage staff, create a sense of
community pride and share important health messages. And, not only for
the gents, women are encouraged to get on board by registering as a Mo
Sista – remembering that behind every great Mo Bro, usually stands an
equally great Mo Sista.
"When you register I encourage you to join the CRA network; that way we
can track your progress in the network leader boards, and we will
declare a winner at the end of Movember! Please pass this invitation on
to others as you see fit.
