July 20, 2010 – Stone Construction Equipment has received a patent from the Canadian Patent Authority for its ProPitch blade adjustment mechanism for its 36”, 46” and 48” Smooth Operator Power Trowels. Stone says the heavy-duty ProPitch option is designed to provide infinite, yet quick and easy, blade settings.
The operator can adjust the pitch by moving the mechanism along the guide arc. Once released the mechanism locks in place anywhere along the arc for infinite pitch settings to finish any stage of concrete – wet or set.
The patented ProPitch handle is interchangeable with a standard handle that has a fine-tuned, and infinitely variable blade adjustment. The ProPitch system is only one of the innovative features on the Stone Trowel line. Other standard features include the patented DynaClutch system, which stops blade rotation without shutting off the engine, a heavy-duty T-throttle, an adjustable handle bar and triple-tube construction for easy service.
