Jan. 14, 2010 – Kubota says the first of the company’s Dash 4 Super Series, the KX057-4 and the new U55, are taking the excavator line to new heights. These 6-ton models have been significantly re-engineered with more strength, stability, comfort and standard features.
The spacious cab features a wider entrance, improved climate control, more foot space and a repositioned and advanced instrument panel. In addition to standard operating information, the panel features service/maintenance information, operation history, warning alarms, and controls for many of the excavator features.
Boom lift capacity and breakout force has increased by 15 percent, bucket breakout force by over 25 percent, and travel speed and traction force are also greater than the previous model. An additional lower track roller smooths out the ride.
Other standard features include a dozer blade with float function, two auxiliary hydaulic ports with adjustable flow, air conditioning, anti-theft system, refuelling signal, and performance matched load sensing hydraulics.
The KX057-4 and U55 are both available with an angle blade option.
