May 5, 2009 – Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation has expanded the availability of the Genie IWP Super Series lifts to customers in Canada.
The company says that rental companies and end users are now able to purchase the IWP -30S, as well as the standard base IWP-20S and IWP-25S models of these lifts.
“The Genie IWP has always been popular in Canada, but now, with the IWP-30S, we’re able to help customers reach projects at greater heights,” says Kim Williams, Terex AWP senior market analyst. “The standard base IWP-20S and IWP-25S roll through single standard doorways and can be operated on more sensitive surfaces, providing users access to more sites. They are cost-effective, smart solutions.”
The IWP-30S delivers a working height of up to 35 feet, six inches (11 m) and a lift capacity of 350 lbs (159 kg) for operators to easily access overhead maintenance jobs. All units feature built-in automatic level sensing, and two front integral leveling jacks provide an additional two inches (five cm) of adjustability.
The standard-base IWP-20S and IWP-25S are up to 590 lbs (268 kg) lighter than the wide base models previously mandated by CSA standards, allowing them to access more sensitive floor surfaces. The two foot eight inch (.81 m) width base allows operators greater accessibility to job locations as it is narrow enough to fit through standard single doorways.
All Genie IWP Super Series lifts can be set up quickly, to help operators get right to work. Each unit includes a low battery indicator, locking key switch, dual activated up/down switch, level sensor and footpad interlocks. Optional power wheel assist on DC models activates hydraulic forward and reverse drive for even quicker, easier maneuverability.
