CRA to have suite at The Rental Show
Jan. 27, 2012 - The Canadian Rental Association is inviting all Canadian rental operators attending The Rental Show in New Orleans, Feb. 5 to 8, to visit room 242 of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Centre. The CRA room will be open on Monday, Feb. 5, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Expanded educational opportunities at The Rental Show
Jan. 30, 2012 – More seminars than ever before, more formats to choose from and a wide variety of instructors including such notable names as Dan Kaplan and Steve Abercrombie are all part of the educational agenda at The Rental Show in New Orleans. The show will kick off with a full day of seminars on Sunday, Feb. 5, with additional educational sessions the mornings of Tuesday, Feb. 7, and Wednesday, Feb. 8. In total, there will be 30 seminars, surpassing any other year of The Rental Show.
CRA Ontario hears about protected self-insurance
 Jan. 22, 2012 - The Canadian Rental Association Ontario assembled at Atlas Copco's head office and warehouse in Mississauga, Ont., on Jan. 18 to enjoy a tasty meal in the dramatic showroom and to hear Ken Fingler and Tom Proch discuss the association's protected self-insurance program. Around 50 members turned out and a draw was held for some attractive Atlas Copco jackets and shirts.

B.C. regional show draws a crowd
 Jan. 17, 2012 - The B.C. Regional Trade Show went off without a hitch Jan. 13 and 14, unless you count a freak snowfall of about two inches in Langley, B.C., on the Friday night. Still, the determined West Coasters plucked up their courage and braved the slightly slushy roads to enjoy camaraderie, great deals, valuable prizes, a packed banquet and even a drink or three.
IPAF to collect data on AWP accidents
Jan. 17, 2012 - The International Powered Access Federation has begun a
systematic project to collect worldwide data on accidents/incidents
involving aerial
work platforms with the aim of improving the safe use of
equipment. Manufacturers, rental companies, contractors and users are encouraged
to report any known AWP accidents or incidents using the standard form
that is available at the IPAF incident database.
In the initial phase, IPAF is calling for reports of any known serious
accidents and fatalities involving AWPs in the U.K., and any known
fatalities involving AWPs worldwide.
