Hasty has served as the company’s vice-president of sales for the past two years, and brings more than 20 years of industry experience in management and team leadership to the position.Expanded educational opportunities at The Rental Show Jan. 30, 2012 – More seminars than ever before, more formats to choose from and a wide variety of instructors including such notable names as Dan Kaplan and Steve Abercrombie are all part of the educational agenda at The Rental Show in New Orleans. The show will kick off with a full day of seminars on Sunday, Feb. 5, with additional educational sessions the mornings of Tuesday, Feb. 7, and Wednesday, Feb. 8. Case awarded prizes with a total value of approximately US$140,000 at the competition’s conclusion.U.S. GPS authority finds LightSquared plan flawed Jan. 25, 2012 - Below is a statement from the Coalition to Save Our GPS on the conclusion by the U.S. federal government’s National Executive Committee for Space-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) that "both LightSquared's original and modified plans for its proposed mobile network would cause harmful interference to many GPS receivers." Paul Tomc passes  Jan. 24, 2012 - Paul Tomc, president and co-founder of Target Equipment Sales since 1976, passed away Jan. 23rd after a brief illness. Paul was very well known in the Canadian rental industry and you would see him and his wife Lois everywhere from trade shows in Canada and the U.S. to Canadian Rental Association meetings and golf outings.Dollar drops, commodity prices retreat Jan. 24, 2012 - The Canadian dollar closed lower as data showed a sharp drop in inflation during December while prices for oil and metals backed off. The loonie was down 0.17 of a cent to 98.7 cents U.S. after inflation fell 0.6 per cent from November to an annualized rate of just 2.3 per cent. CRA Ontario hears about protected self-insurance  Jan. 22, 2012 - The Canadian Rental Association Ontario assembled at Atlas Copco's head office and warehouse in Mississauga, Ont., on Jan. 18 to enjoy a tasty meal in the dramatic showroom and to hear Ken Fingler and Tom Proch discuss the association's protected self-insurance program. Around 50 members turned out and a draw was held for some attractive Atlas Copco jackets and shirts. |
